Welcome to the Forsyth County YMCA Swim Team – Season Kickoff & Important Information
Dear Swim Team Parents,
Welcome to the Forsyth County YMCA Swim Team! We are excited to kick off a new season starting this Monday and/or Tuesday. Before we begin, please review the following important reminders and details.
Registration & Evaluation
All swimmers must be evaluated and registered (on Swimtopia) before practice begins on Monday.
If you are experiencing any issues with registration, please contact us as soon as possible.
Deposit Fee: All swimmers will be charged their deposit fee during the first week of practice (week of August 18).
First Payment:
Due September 1 under the payment plan.
Registration Process & Fees:
Initial payment:
$225
$150 applied toward the season fee
$75 non-refundable registration fee
Starting September 1, the remaining balance (based on your child’s practice group) will be divided into five monthly payments. The $150 deposit will be deducted from the total cost.
Practice Day Guidelines:
Please have your swimmer arrive a few minutes early to collect their team-issued competition swim cap and water bottle on their first day. Be swim-ready: swimsuit, swim cap, goggles, water bottle, and on the pool deck by the start of practice.
Parent Viewing: You may watch from the white benches on the left side of the pool deck or the tables in the atrium between the pool deck and basketball court.
Pick-Up Policy: Parents must be on the pool deck 5 minutes before practice ends
Children 12 & under: Parents must remain in the pool deck area during practice.
Swim Strokes Program: If your child was selected for Swim Strokes, they will receive their team-issued water bottle on their first day of class (September 2).
Registration: Please complete the form on Swimtopia and select the time slot that fits your schedule.
Class Details:
Ages 5–9:
Tuesday/Thursday, 4:45–5:30 PM
Ages 10–14:
Tuesday/Thursday, 6:30–7:15 PM
Start Date: Tuesday, September 2
Cost:$125 every four weeks

August 26 – September 9: Donations for Meals By Grace
Early September – Swim Meet Schedule Released
September 2 – Swim Stroke Clinics begin
September 6 – Swimsuit Fitting, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
September 10 – Meals By Grace Volunteer Event (Silver II/Gold swimmers will volunteer), 6:30 PM
September 25 – Parent Informational Meeting, 7:00–8:00 PM
