Donations for Break Bags
Dear Parents,
Happy first week of swimming! We are thrilled to see everyone back and excited to dive into another fantastic season.
This year, our swim team is participating in a wonderful community service project to support Meals by Grace. We will be gathering donations to create ‘Break Bags’ filled with food for children and families in need during school breaks.
Donation Collection Dates: August 26 - September 9
Today and Monday (August 25), your child will bring home a flyer detailing the specific items needed to curate a Break Bag. We kindly ask that you stick to the list to ensure we gather the right supplies.
In addition to helping our community, this initiative is a friendly competition between practice groups! The group that collects the most donations will earn a fun party!
Along with donating, the Silver II practice groups will be volunteering, putting together Break Bags in place of their practice on September 10th at 6:30 pm here at our YMCA.
