Weekly News and Updates

Hi Team,

We made it through our first week of the season, and I just want to say how awesome it has been to see everyone at practice. The weather threw us a few curveballs with lightning keeping us out of the pool, but I really appreciate how flexible and positive you all were with dry land instead. That kind of attitude makes a huge difference and sets us up for a great season.

The coaches and I are really excited about what’s ahead. This year we’re going to push the envelope with our training. That means working harder, sharpening our technique, and focusing on getting faster every time we’re in the water. Our goal is to see real progress in both skills and times, and we believe this group is ready for it.

More than anything, I’m looking forward to watching everyone grow as swimmers and as a team. The effort we’ve already seen tells me this is going to be a season to remember.

As a reminder, we also want to mention that if any of you have any questions to please wait until your child’s class is over or to send us a quick email because we appreciate your feedback and/or questions. If your child is 12 years old or younger, a parent or guardian must remain in the building during practice. We also ask that you arrive about five minutes early to pick up your child at the end of class.

Thanks for showing up, working hard, and trusting the process. Let us keep building on this first week and see just how far we can go.

See you at practice,

YMCA Coaching Staff
