Weekly News and Updates

Dear Swim Families,

We’re excited to be diving into Week 2 of our season! The energy, effort, and teamwork we’ve already seen from our swimmers—in the water and during dryland—has been inspiring. Our coaches are proud of how well everyone has started, and we’re eager to keep building on that momentum.

Be Prepared for Every Practice

To help our swimmers stay ready for any type of workout, please have your child bring the following each day:

  • Extra tennis shoes & socks
  • Shorts and a t-shirt

This way, if weather keeps us out of the pool or we switch to dryland, your swimmer can still train safely and effectively.

Please Note: There will be NO practice on Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day.

Practice Expectations & Conduct

To keep practices safe, focused, and fun, please help us reinforce these reminders with your swimmer:

  • Bring and wear swim caps consistently.
  • No horseplay — keep hands, feet, and bodies to themselves.
  • Listen and remain quiet when coaches are speaking.
  • When resting, keep hands on the wall and heads above water — this ensures swimmers can hear instructions and follow the workout board.

If behavior begins to affect practice, swimmers may be asked to sit out briefly. Parents will be notified if this occurs.

Additional Reminders

  • Locker Rooms: Only swimmers age 13+ may use locker rooms. Lockers on deck are available for everyone else. Parents should be with their children before and after practice while they get ready.
  • Stroke Development: Stroke practices begin September 2. Registration is required—please use the link at the bottom of this email to sign up.
  • Silver II: Please make sure to bring workout clothes on Tuesdays and Thursday starting September 2nd, we will be adding workouts in addition to swimming to better swimming technique and physicality.

We are committed to helping every swimmer grow stronger, faster, and more confident in the water. Preparation, focus, and respect (coaches & other swimmers) at each practice make a big difference. Thank you for your support and encouragement—it means so much to our team.

We’re looking forward to another great week of progress together!

Warmly,

Coaching Staff
