Donations Race Updates

Dear Parents,

We are a little over halfway through our Donation Race to create Break Bags for Meals by Grace, and I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed so far. Your generosity is making a real difference in the lives of those who depend on us. However, our mission is not yet complete.

To truly grasp the impact of the Break Bags we are assembling, let’s consider some crucial statistics:

  • 1 in 5 children in Georgia face food insecurity. This staggering figure highlights the urgent need for assistance.
  • 455,014 Georgia students rely on reduced or free school lunches for their meals. For many, these lunches are their primary source of nourishment.
  • Nearly 60.3% of children in Georgia require resources like Break Bags for meals when schools are not in session. These bags provide essential sustenance during weekends and holidays when access to food is limited.
  • Your contributions are more than just donations; they represent hope and support for families in our community. Every donation helps ensure that no child goes hungry, and we can continue to provide these vital resources. Together, we can create a lasting impact on food security in our community and ensure that every child has the nourishment they need to thrive.

Of course, we can't forget that our donation drive is a race between our practice groups! As of right now, the race is close between all three practice groups. So now is the time the widen the lead and secure a team party for your child's practice group by donating!

If you need a reminder on what items to bring when donating, it is listed below:

    • 12oz or larger boxed cereal
    • 1 QT of shelf-stable milk
    • 1 jar of peanut butter
    • 1 jar of jelly

    • 1 can of Soup
    • 1 canned meat
    • 5 Snack Bars
    • 5 fruit or apple sauce cans
    • 1 package of Ramen

Thank you once again for your kindness and commitment to this cause. Let’s keep pushing forward and make a difference together!
