Registration costs and Need for Officials
Good afternoon,
Hopefully all of these emails will end soon, however we need your help!
Each team is required to have 2-3 Officials for our swim meets. We currently have '0'. This is an important job and it would fulfill your volunteer requirement for 2025-2026 season. I have included the information below. Please contact me and let me know of your interest and I will credit your swim team bill for the amount of the class:
VIRTUAL CLINICS
LEVEL 1 CLINIC: For new and recertifying Level 1 Officials
This course is designed to train participants as swim officials for YMCA Competitive Swimming in the areas of Stroke and Turn Judge, Relay Take-off Judge, Place Judge and Timer. The course focuses on the specific duties and responsibilities of the above officials prior to, during and after a swim meet. Successful completion of a written examination is required to pass the course.
No experience necessary to become a Level 1 Swim Official.
- Tuesday September 23 AND Thursday September 25
- 6:30 PM EASTERN TIME to 8:30 PM EASTERN TIME
- Students must attend both nights
- VIRTUAL ONLY. Details on how to join the clinic will be emailed to all registered participants the weekend prior to the clinic dates
- Fee $30. Check with your team to see if it will reimburse this cost.
- Covers YMCA National fees and costs to mail your patch
- Payment due before the clinic please

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT:
All YMCA accounts with registered swim team members (Bronze, Silver 1, Silver 2, or Gold) will be charged this week , $225 ($150 fee + $75 nonrefundable registration fee). If your child is in the Swim Strokes class, your account has already been charged. Your monthly payments will begin October 1 (and subsequently 11/1, 12/1. 1/1, & 2/1).
