Dear Parents,

Just wanted to send out a reminder to refresh everyone, especially our new swim parents, of our swim meet protocol as we start our first meet of the summer season this Saturday. Parents need to be sure to declare their children for a swim meet on Swimtopia by the Wednesday before the meet. To do this, follow the instructions below:

• Parents are supposed to click on ‘Meet Entry’ to declare their child for the relevant meet.
• Once parents click on ‘Meet Entry’, click edit under their child's 'meet status’ and select ‘Attending this meet’ or ‘Not attending this meet’. Even if your child is unable to attend, please declare them as ‘Not attending this meet’.
• Once parents have confirmed that a swimmer is attending the meet, swimmers can select up to 4 individual events, then click ‘Save’ to submit them.
• Please be aware that the edits to your swimmer's event might have been made by coaches, meaning your child may not compete in all the events that they’ve selected on Swimtopia.
• Once you successfully declare your child’s attendance and entries, your page should state that ‘Meet entries were saved successfully’.

The swim meet this Saturday, June 13th, will take place at the Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA. All swimmers are expected to arrive at 3:00 pm to be on time for warm-ups. Since this is an away meet, remember to bring your own Sharpies to write your child’s events on their arm (we highly recommend doing this at home to save time at the venue). Please also have your child bring their orange competition cap so we can easily identify our swimmers. If you need a new or replacement cap, stop by the Aquatics office before the meet.

All swimmers are expected to participate in every event for which they are entered. There will be NO early dismissals, as leaving early limits opportunities for teammates and puts pressure on coaches to find replacements for relays.

Since this is a smaller meet, we do not anticipate it running long, but still bring snacks, towels, and/or parkas to keep your child comfortable and occupied throughout the event.
