Swim Meet Information and questions answered
Dear Parents,
As we head into the final stretch of our summer swim season, I wanted to reach out and answer a few common questions regarding registration, swim meets, and what comes next for our team.
1. Swim Meet Registration & Events - When you log in to register your child for a meet, you will only see the events that directly pertain to your child's specific age group and gender. * There are typically 5–6 individual events available per age/gender group. * Each swimmer can select a maximum of 3 individual events. * **Relays:** If we have enough children in an age group participating (a minimum of 4), we will automatically set up relays as group events.
2. Meet Results, Ribbons, and Ceremonies - Please note that there are no formal award ceremonies immediately following the swim meets. * Official times will be entered into Swimtopia within 2–3 days after the meet concludes. * Ribbons are typically distributed either by the end of that week or at our upcoming summer party. * We are still finalizing the exact date for the summer party, but it is traditionally held in mid-July. Keep an eye out for an official announcement soon!
3. Continuing with the Swim Team After July 2nd - For those looking ahead and wondering how to stay involved with the swim team after July 2nd, we have you covered. Next week, we will be sending out a comprehensive information packet detailing all upcoming dates, evaluations, practice schedules, group placements, parent meetings, and pricing.
Upcoming Summer Meets - As a reminder, we have two remaining meets left for our summer season: *
**Saturday, June 20:** Meet at Forsyth Co. Family YMCA *
**Thursday, June 25:** Championship Meet - Summit Family YMCA - Newnan, GA
Thank you all for your incredible support and dedication this season. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Best regards,
Caroline del Carmen
